Clinical Sports massage / soft tissue therapy & Spinal Manipulation
For musculoskeletal pain & injury

This form of treatment is used throughout the sports spectrum as both a preventative measure and a tool to enhance sports performance. The aim is to restore maximum functionality back to muscles and other soft tissues following overuse or trauma.
It is not only beneficial for a sportsperson, it can also be used as a treatment for anyone who suffers from muscular tension, stress and fatigue. It can be used as a remedy for pain and muscular dysfunction, whether it be from everyday injuries, postural issues, occupational problems or emotional stress.
Sports massage therapy will encompass various techniques to release tension from tight muscles. It will help with scar tissue and adhesions that have formed within the soft tissue which are inhibiting correct muscular function. These techniques may include Muscle Energy Techniques, Soft Tissue Release, Neuromuscular Technique and Myofascial release.
Sports massage will focus on the areas of your body that are overused, tight or stressed from any repetitive action or poor posture that you may have been subject to. Treatment will help facilitate recovery to soft tissue and improve range of motion (R.O.M) in joints. In turn you should see improvements in flexibility and posture.
Treatments are individually tailored to client specific needs.

Chinese Cupping
This treatment relieves local congestion and stagnation of blood flow. The cups lift the skin and underlying soft tissue which stretches the muscle and fascia to help lengthen and release the desired tissue. Very popular around the world as it is safe, comfortable and an effective treatment for many disorders and muscular dysfunctions.

Injury Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation is vitally important after injury and with access to Revive Gym we can guide you step by step through a tailored rehab programme. This will give you all the tools and information you need to restore any muscle or joint disfunction.
Kinesiology Taping
Applied where needed this form of taping can reduce pain, decompress and area that is swollen and inflamed, delay fatigue, return muscle tone to normal, distribute physical stress across the area. (No surprise that you see the top athletes and sportsmen wearing this sort of tape on the TV).
Ultrasound Therapy
Provides a deep heating effect to different soft tissue parts of the body by using sound waves. The process used, increases blood flow to the area which causes an increase in oxygen and chemicals that are essential for the healing of damaged soft tissue. The treatment can also increase flexibility of tight tendons and muscles which will improve range of motion (R.O.M).
